Default brakes

I got a 67 coupe v8. Stock now. Doing a complete frame up resto on it. I want to go to disc brakes all the way around. Sorta tight on cash. I was needing to know if there are any other vehicles that i can use the disc brake setup. Even if i have to change the spindels. Im a good fabricato.
thanks

check out fordmuscle.com in the forum section look at the tech exchange. there is quite a bit of brake installs for mostly less than 300 front and 300 rear.

Why rear discs, especially if you're on a budget? They're overkill on a car that doesn't get driven on a track. I drive my '67fb hard with OE-style front discs and OE rear drums. It stops just fine.

For the fronts, I'd recommend the OE-style 65-67 front disc kit from CSRP. Unlike other swaps, it's mostly a bolt-on job that doesn't require replacing the spindles. Everything is OE, so getting replacement parts is a breeze. The only semi-difficult portion of the job is bending new brake lines. Time consuming, but even then it's not all that difficult.

I agree, just upgrade the front to disc and leave the rear drum.

I think ill change the front with the discbrakeswap.com site. Then after i change them ill run it a while and change the rear. B/c its going to be a street strip car. Got a 351 to put in.
