Engine Color
Just looking for some feedback.
My engine color ended up being a shade or two lighter than what I believe is the correct color.
Although I think it looks good I was wondering if this would affect the value of the car as it relates to the acuaracy of the restoration or points at a car show??

well if they don't complain about the color, they'll give out about the edlebrock carb, the aftermarket export brace, antirollbar and a few other things that only a few people would spot. nice though ... it's a good looking setup
are there like mustang concours car shows or something?
whenever I used to go to car shows when I was little in my dads 41 ford they judged on things like best paint and stuff not over round stock looking car? And it was all kinds of cars there including mustangs which were my favorite

Yes, many shows, such as MCA and AACA are judged on originality of appearance. The blue on this one is close enough to pass, IMHO, but the booster, master cylinder, alternator, and a few small parts are way off on color.
Here. The forum can answer your specifics. Since I already opened my big mouth, I'll start.
Booster- chassis black
Master cylinder- natural cast iron (bare, or paint that simulates it)
Alternator- bare aluminum
Shock brackets- chassis black or natural
Shocks- chassis black
Dipstick and tube- engine blue
And you should have an oil filler cap between the breaher hose and the valve cover:

I think the picture looks good, but you have a long way to go to reach "concurs"....
Those "concurs" folk are detail oriented, right down to the right bolts and washers.
Just a guess, but I think that even your chassis paint might have too much gloss.
