Default 1965 Mustang Value

I am trying to buy my cousins 65 mustang but I am not sure what it's worth. It is a convertible, the body seems in pretty good shape. It is in pieces - The bumbers, lights, interior, moulding etc are off. The car has not been ran for 20+ years. It is sitting outside (poorly covered) in southern California. Can anyone help with a ballpark price?

What does he want for it? I would need more info to give you and idea. Pictures would help too. Is it a 289 engine or straight 6? Ir it a 2 barrel or 4 barrel? What type of trans is in it? Does it have any options like a pony interior or factory air? Having the VIN will tell a lot too. Need more info.

We need more details, before we can help with a price. The info off of the door data plate would help a whole bunch. I traded my 78 Shovelhead for mine. they didn't know what they had.
