You can do a slight notching from the upper a arm bolt holes up if needed.

Strange, because it is not necessary to modify the towers in a 65-66 to get a 351W in there.

Yeah you don't have to but helps when its time to change the plugs.

Yeh, mine fits great but it would be GREAT to have clearance to get to the plugs easier. Please post the pics!!!

what i did is take the orig UCA's out and use GW,i was going to upgrade anyways....this gives me an extra 1" just by doing that.then takeing the other 1/2" out of the tower gave me more! at the same time leaveing the uca in its same place so there is no alignment problems.....so a 65 mustang has 22 1/2" between the towers stock, a 351W with headers is is like 22 1/4 leaveing about 1/8" of clear space.my mod gives me an extra 1 3/8" if not alittle more between the header and tower now....then i took even more off the upper part of the tower to make it even easyer to work on it.i still need to clean it up....grind this and that, smooth it out so it looks good after the final welding it up! useing 3/16 steel plate, anyways i think it will work out great and have room to work!

I would brace that up a little better like http://home.flash.net/~sanco/mustang.htm the weld in brace he shows on that site does help and fills in a spot that holds water and dirt.
