Distributor Shaft

Can the distributor shaft from a 67 galaxy with a 289 be used on my 65 mustang with a 289? I f'd up the shaft on mine while disassembling the dizzy.

Yes, many distributors for "Windsor series" engines interchange, 260, 289, 302, 5.0 all interchange, 351s do not interchange with their smaller brothers.

yep. from what I know:
289/302/351W are one type shaft (5/16" socket at the end) and
351C/351M/400 and all FEs are the other type shaft (3/8" socket at the end)

but 289 to 289 (67 to 65) a clear yes
