Default can i use these?

It said a mustang 5 lug conversion but the front spindles, brakes and rotors came off a 98 gt. Would that work or is it too new?

Too new. They use struts so it wouldn't work.

Will any of the newer say 79 or newer 4 lug to 5 lug conversion kits work on older mustangs?

No. The spindles are too different. You'd have just as much success trying to use Camaro parts, that is, zero.

There is one exception- If you want to use the 8.8 rear from a Fox-body Mustang, the Ford Racing kit with 5-bolt axles and drums will convert the 4-bolt Fox axle. You'll still have width problems, though.

But what are you planning? There are so many easy, inexpensive 4-to-5 conversions for the front of 64-70 Mustangs available, why waste your time with incompatible late-model stuff?

Oh im not planning anything i was just wondering since a guy close to me is selling all his 5 lug conversion stuff for cheap i was just seeing if it would work. Well im working on getting a 9" so the back wont be a problem since it will be a 5 lug i just need to find another v8 mustang and get the 5 lug front end or i was gonna try to find a conversion.
