Default looking for a classic

Hey guys, I've recently started looking for a classic mustang to have as a project, as well as my '05. I came across this one and it looks like its a good deal, so I emailed it to my dad since I'm doing this with him. He thinks its kinda weird that he's selling for $500 less than he bought it just because it needs a battery. It seems kind of weird to me too, but I called him and talked to him and he seemed really cool, said he wants a reliable car to DD to school. The other thing he said is that the 302 thats in the car now doesn't have any tags on it, but the tag on the car says it had a 302, is this anything I should be worried about? Also, is this a good deal? If it is I don't want to miss out on it.

Sorry if these are noobish questions.

None of the photos really show any of the problem areas common to Mustangs. It could be a dirty gem or a piece of junk. Get someone from the local Mustang club to look at the car with you.
