Default 69 Fuel Pump

I have a 69 Mustang Conv w/302. I replaced the fuel pump and fuel line going to carb. Getting a leak where carb line meets the pump that I can't seem to stop regardless of torque. Anyone have an idea how to fix w/o removing the pump again? Can I use teflon tape?

Thanks

I used teflon tape on mine a few weeks ago and haven't had a problem. I do think that the fitting should seal without the tape. I wonder if there is something trapped in the fitting that is keeping it from sealing. Or maybe a damaged flange on the new line.
