Oh that's right. I knew that. I have seen other threads.

How difficult was the rear valance installation? Is it metal, fiberglass, or plastic? They seem pretty affordable that's why I am wondering. Do you plan on adding the other GT items like the stripes below the door or the GT cap?

Its just 2 bolts and about 8 screws. The piece is metal, but it leaves a gap larger than the old one did between it and the quarter panels. Probably cause it was made in Taiwan.

This is the only thing I am adding from the GT. I like having the fenders and doors plain and then have some chrome to even it out.

I didn't go cheap on the tips either, I went with the stainless steel rolled tip ones. Cost me about $80 for just the tips, but they are worth it.

I recommend sanding down all of the edges when you get it too. I cut myself in less than 5 minutes after receiving the package. Edges were rough and sharp. Just some 120 grit sandpaper and a couple passes along the edges did the job.

Thanks for the info. I don't think I like the idea of bigger gaps on my car. Although I understand why they are under-sizing it. Something to think about I guess. For $50 (including shipping) it might not hurt to pick one up anyway. I sure like those cutouts...

Good luck with the rest of your project. I'm enjoying the progress. What's next?

I paid like $32 for mine and shipping was free. I bought it from CJ Pony Parts.

EDIT: On sale for $26 right now.

I still need to get my exhaust ran. I need to repaint my drivers door on the inside. Need to install new weatherstripping, paint under hood, paint door jams, and paint trunk lid underside. My rims got some overspray on them so I need to give them a good polishing. That may be it for now, then I'll start saving for the supercharger parts.

Jake, paint looks great, hope I get to see it in person this summer. Mine will go back a Candyapple red also and want to make sure it doesn't have any orange to it, going for a ripe polished red apple look.

Its got a I6 200 bored .040 over, 2bbl carb setup, later model DSII distributor with module, and soon to have port divider. I also have a chrome monte carlo bar installed in the engine bay. Also have a WC T5 transmission behind the 200 with a hurst base and tri-ax handle.
