Competition Engineering Shocks
I am looking at putting a set of adjustable shocks on the front and rear of my '69. I like the idea of having adjustable shocks that I can change the setting on depending on if I am street driving or strip driving.
The Competition Engineering shocks are pretty inexpensive $45/each. The fronts are adjustable between 90/10, 80/20, or 60/40 while the rears are adjustable between 70/30, 60/40, or 50/50. I think I can dial in a 90/10 and 50/50 for drag racing then switch to 60/40 and 60/40 for street use and street racing.
I am not sure about the quality, but like the idea. Any opinions or experience with these? If so, what application did you use them in?

My other option is to put on a set of Koni Classic 82 Series. They are also adjustable, but would require them to be removed from the car before adjustment which kinda stinks.

i have the konis in the front and will get the same (to ditch my KYBs) for the back. they are great for setting up. i actually never changed the front setting as i'm quite happy with it. mayeb a bit stiffer would be an idea as the rear now stiffened up as well ... but yes, you can't do it in-car, or at least i wouldn't know how. love the konis, but if you want to change frequently, probably not the best idea ?
Honestly, if you're going to get adjustable shocks then just spend the dough and get the 2 way TCP adjustables. They can be adjusted on car and are 2 way with 256 adjustment combination. Getting a 1 way adjustable shock is a slight improvement over a non adjustable, but not worth the money imo. Bump and rebound have to both work together to be effective, and a 1 way doesn't give you individual control over each one, so if there's not a setting close to what you need then the adjustables won't help too much.
Of course, the TCP shocks are expensive.

Thanks...I forgot about the TCP shocks...that is a good idea. I will look into that. I gather that the CE shocks are dual adjustable based on pre-sets, but they are pretty cheap compared to higher-end shocks, so I am little skeptical.
