Default what is this part? {electrical}

what is this part called?It is located right under my voltage regulator and it only has one wire coming out the wire broke so I will need to get a new one.I will also be putting a petronix multi spark system are there things that i will not need from the original wiring.

It's a static noise suppressor for the VR, prevents noise in the radio.

thanks for the quick reply. So is it just for when the radio is playing or does it help when a cd or mp3 player is playing because i don't listen to the radio much.

Just for the radio. It helps eliminate static noise when the radio is on. You should be able to pick one up at any parts store for a couple of bucks.
