Default Roller 302

I just installed a new cam in my Roller 302. Ive looked everywhere on the internet and for a roller breakin and I have seen everything from 2 and a half minutes to 500 miles. Anybody know for sure? Thanks.

roller is quite easy. a flat tappet you would break in in about 20 minutes 2000-2500 rpm. jobn done. with a roller i wouldn't be worried at all. so i gues the 2.5 minute option is the way to go. wonder if anyone knows for sure

Roller cam has no break in, but you want to get out and once everything is ok(no leaks, overheating etc) get on it hard. Several bursts of WOT up the rpm range and then decel in gear back down, then WOT again...do that for at least 3-5 miles. You need the high cylinder pressures to properly seat the rings. That's if the engine has been rebuilt. If it's just a cam swap by itself, start it up, make sure nothing is wrong, and don't worry about it.
