Default Can't identify a T5! Driving me nuts!!

I contacted a seller about a T5 that he said came out of a 90 Mustang, but it has no tag on it and he is about 1.5 hours away. It has the casting number
1352-066-919, but that doesn't mean anything to me or any site that lists T5's.

I really don't know what to think. If it was original to the 90 Mustang, great, but if it's missing the tailtag something tells me that it could have been a replacement from another car.

If I am correct the 1352 means it's WC, right?

I don't want to drive all that way to find out it's not what I need. If I ask for pictures, what would I need to see to confirm it was a t5 out of a 90 Mustang?

The casting number does not mean too much. You need to see a tag that is usually on the tail section.
Here is a guide I put together for IDing a T5
http://chris66dad.tripod.com/id38.html

Does it also have a bellhousing?

With this you can confirm it is a World Class but it may be from a Chevy or another make. Be careful because it is buyer beware. If you have a bad feeling, walk away because there will be other T5's

I got a part number for the bellhousing E6ZR-6394-AA which makes it an 86-93 bellhousing. If it's a 90 tranny it would be great deal, if it's not I would be SOL.

casting number won't tell anything, need the ID-tag (metal tag bolted to tailhousing). if that's not there I don't think you will never know what it is unless you inspect it. bellhousing indicates that it's correct to what he stated where he pulled it from. probably is a WC T5, but what spec, gearing and ratios ... unsure. probably have to drive there to have a peek (chance it)

"If" it's the original tranny for the 1990 it should have a tail tag number of 1352-199 and would have a 300 lb-ft torque rating and the following gearing:
Ford 1990 Mustang 5.0L V8 WC
Rev-3.15 3.35 1.99 1.33 1.00 0.68

I suppose I will make the trip bring my calipers and measure the input shaft and splines and keep my fingers crossed. I can assume this; It's a Ford, it's a WC and it's a 5 speed, so regardless if it shifts smoothly I should get it.

The one thing that keeps bothering me is the lack of a tail tag and why isn't it there. Mine is still on the 4 speed Toploader I have in my car and that one has been around for over 45 years.

The toploaders almost always have the tag becasue the tag was riveted on. The T-5's almost never have the tag because they are attached with a bolt.
