Shock choices?
I need new Shocks. Now that I'm driving my car I want it do feel like it isn't going to bounce off the road every time I hit a bump. Ive looked into KYB, Bilstein, Edelbrock, and Koni. I don't want to spend the $$$ for the Konis, but I don't want the $20 Napa shocks either. Edelbrock's website says their shocks wont fit a 67 mustang. I've read that KYB's are a bit harsh.
Any reccomendations? This car will never see the track, and will be mostly used for cruising, but I want to be able to DRIVE it when I'm alone. Thanks

Whoever said the Kayaba was too harsh was probably talking about the Gas-A-Just, their performance shock, which I use and like in my 66 GT. If these are too stiff, use the KYB GR2. A good control shock with more like an OEM ride, and less pricey than the GAJ.
I had KYB Gas-Adjust in the rear and they were harsh. I also had lots of wheel hop. On Maier Racing's recommendation, I reluctanly bought their Bilsteins. The ride is very nice and the wheel hop is gone. I'm a convinced skeptic. They were $90 each plus shipping.
I also had KYB Gas-Adjust on the front of my M2 suspension, and they were also harsh. I went back to Monroe-Matics ($22 each) and the ride is much better and handling is more steady too.
Bilsteins all the way around would probably give what you want - handling, ride, and help with wheel hop too. They won't drain your wallet as badly as Konis either.

I can only attest to what 2+2GT stated, there are 2 KYB shocks - GR2 standard gas and Gas-A-Just HD gas. I used the GR-2 on all 4 and am very pleased with the ride especially for the price. The ride is not harsh and doesn't wallow, nice sporty ride, no complaints from passengers either. When I have the $ and experience I may step up to Bilstein or Koni later for track stuff but for the road the GR-2's are fine.
