Default Engine & Engine Bay Clean Up

I pulled the motor and transmission to convert to an AOD and to pretty everything up. I'm about done with the motor. Tomorrow I start working on the engine bay. Last weekend, I sprayed it with Easy Off oven cleaner, then used my pressure washer on it. It blew the paint off the frame. That's a good thing though, since I was planning of painting it with POR 15.

Looks great! I had a problem with those valve covers where the pcv and oil breather grommets would never hold on tight enough. I called ford motorparts and they sent me a free cover that they thought might be in spec. I ended up gluing once side down, the other side is better for the oil breather, but still needs to be improved.

Love it! A freshly painted engine is a nice sight.

It's actually the "Old Ford" (dark) blue. The flash on the camera made it look light blue. I'll retake the pictures tomorrow.

Looking good!!
Did you use rattle can paint to paint the engine bay or a spray gun?

POR15 is a bit thick to spray so I assume he brushed it. Eastwood Chassis Black does a nice job as well.

What did you use for the engine paint?
