Default procharger??

I was looking at a procharger on craigslist, but it is only the blower and the mounting brackets for a 302, and a 289. It also has the pipe that goes from the carb out. I am new to superchargers that involve a carb'd engine and was wondering what I would need to finish this kit.

I would assume i need the piping.
The guy said i would need a blow through carb
is there anything else?

also would it fit my intake?

These are probably dumb questions but like I said I have very little knowledge of superchargers for carb'd mustangs

I dont know about the procharger mounting brackets, but if you buy a blow-through carb you just have to buy the piece of tubing that connects to the carb (cant remember the name of the thing) and the other tubing (+ a way of attaching them) to connect it to the procharger. If it doesnt come with them, you would also need the pulleys and belts to turn the procharger.

I just bought a new Procharger and it cost me $2800. I also bought a blow-thru Holley carb for $750. I don't know what you can get your blower for on Craigslist but you need to consider the cost of a new carb as well.

Wouldn't you need a new fuel pump as well?

true, you can boost reference a mechanical pump or use a electric that can support about 15+psi and about 300 gph.

I also have one of those too for sale

YOu can use a smaller pump if you like gambling. You run lean and your foot is not fast enough to let off before the damage is done.My last pump was 460 gph.Your not using that, but its able to sutain the demands while under boost.

For every pound of boost you might see about 15-20 hp but thats depending on the efficiency of the engine combo

i think the golden rule is one psi per psi of boost.

so 6psi normal at carb (current) and adding 5psi of boost, you will need 12psi fuel pressure from what I read

true, but that doesnt take into account the flow from the pump, the restriction from the lines etc. Pressure is not the only thing to look at.
