Question Leaf Springs / rear shocks

Are the leaf springs pretty simple install? Is it just basically unbolt and bolt on new ones? Anything special that has to get done? Same for rear shocks, are they just bolt on? I have never done suspension before and was just wondering. How about front springs and shocks? Are the springs just replaced or do you have to put tension on them when installing them?

The leaf springs are tough to do because the front bolts corrode in their sleeves which makes them hard to remove. The chances are good you'll need a sawzall and quality blades to cut the bolts out. Jackstands are required to keep the rear end in place.

The front springs have to be compressed and pose a danger if this isn't done properly.

The shocks are pretty straightforward.

If you have the tools and take your time you'll be fine.

I wouldn't- I've heard way too many stories of Mustang flambé.
