Default Transmission Leak

Okay, I have a C4 in my 70 coupe. I'd been having problems with my Neutral Safety Switch, which I just finished fixing... but probably the reason I was having these problems is because of a fluid leak from the little shaft that goes into the transmission and also connects with the switch. I'd never had any leaks, but just recently these started, and now my NSS got fried.

So, that shaft... is there some sort of gasket around it that could be replaced? I guess the leak could be coming from up above, but I can't see up there that well...

Have you had experience with this? Know what I can do to fix it?

Thanks!

Need to replace the shift shaft seal. Just got done replacing mine. Have to take off the pan, take the valve body out, theres a big nut you loosen up on the inside where the shaft goes in, pull the shaft out and the seal rides right there. Its an easy fix, a little tedious, but not bad.
