Default Sub frames and rocker panel repair

I need to replace my drivers side rocker panel at some point, will my installing my SFC's now make it easier and structurally safer to install the outer rocker panel and patch the inner?

I'm at the point now with our '65 coupe that I can install my sub frame connectors at any time as I have gotten almost everything cleaned up and painted underneath. I got the kind of SFC's from CJ Ponies that you can either bolt on or weld on, I will weld them in of coarse.

Thanks,
Lynn

I don't know about how that will affect your rocker panel repair.

I can say that I have the same ones your talking about and I bolted them in and then had my exhaust guy weld them. They worked out great.

Don't overtighten the front bolts or it can crush the frame rails. I also don't see the purpose of that rear bolt hole on the little tab.

I just thought it may help stabilize the car so the repair can be made, but i wanted to make sure.

I discovered the same thing about the tab bolt last night seeing how they fit. They go up to '70 and the instructions seem to say their is a threaded factory hole for it, made '67 and up have it.

I don't see why you can put them on now and do the rocker repair later. Hopefully some one with more experience with that will post an answer.

I put a bolt in that hole, but I don't think it is doing anything.
