Hi, I'm trying to remove my trans outta my 69 Mustang.. The problem I'm having is I can't get it to clear the trans tunnel.. Do I need to remove the torque converter at the same time as a pair..

 

Yes but the good news is that you only make that mistake once. BTY they go back in as a pair too.

 

they come out together. and make sure you get the torque converter splined on all the way before reinstalling the tranny. i know of one person that tried to install a tranny with the torque converter still on the flywheel and damaged it.
