i need to replace part of the the door mechanism, thinking i might as well do some upgrades. don't really want to add any internal switches, but would like to add a remote for the locks and trunk. anyone already gone this route, got a brand you recommend? something that ties into an internal alarm wouldn't hurt my feelings either.

 

I got an electric door lock kit from A1 Electric - http://www.a1electric.com/index.htm - and wired it into my Viper Alarm. I can lock/alarm and unlock/disarm my car with the Viper Key fob. A1, also, sells complete kits.
