Acceleration issue
Ive got an issue with acceleration. When I apply "normal" pressure to the pedal the car loses everything. sounds likes its being strangled if I release the pedal fast enough the car will cough and go back to running smoothly. If I dont release pressure it dies. The only way I can really drive the vehicle is to lightly apply pressure but the acceleration is so slow that its impossible to turn onto a street without getting rear ended. The same issue accures in park and nuetral.
Its a stock 67 mustang with straight 6 200 and the autolite 1100. I have rebuilt the carb. Replaced the diaphragms(the ones that were on the carb were completely worthless), the needle under the float, and the valve spark control. I also cleaned whatever gunk there was. Now I did not mess around with any of the screws. Apart from adjusting the screws Im not certain as to what else could be causing the issue. Any thoughts?
thanks
Chris

Well I took the carb apart again took the jet off and cleaned that. The jet wasnt bad but it looks like up in there is another pin that looks fairly gummed up. How do I get that pin to come out? It doesnt seem to want to fall out even with a lite tap.
