Default 1967 Coupe help!

Helo all, I have a 67 coupe with the Ford 200 straight 6 engine with the 3 speed manual transmission. I am new to restoring this vehicle so please bear with me. Some of the things I would like to do with this vehicle are as follows. Any help would be welcome and greatly appreciated.

I have no interest in changing out the engine for a V8, I would like to keep the engine size it came with, so if anyone knows a good rebuilder, or a site where I could get a good rebuilt Ford 200 engine, I would be much obliged.

I also would like to install air conditioning in this vehicle sometime in the future as well.

I would like to install a power brake booster and some disc brakes all around, and power steering, if you could give me any help I would certainly appreciate it.

One thing I would really like to do asap is to convert it from a 3 speed manual transmission to an automatic, but I have no idea where to begin, and what my options are.

And lastly, if you know of some really good interior and exterior parts websites, please let me know.

Thank you very much, and as I said before, I could really use some help to get this project of mine started!

Good for you! An excellent engine. Any shop that does good work on V8's can do the I6. It's best to keep the original engine.

There are several ways to go, OEM factory style, and in or under dash add-on.

I would like to install a power brake booster
This is probably all you need. For normal street driving power drums are fine.

4-wheel disc would be massive overkill on this car.

Changing to a C4 automatic would be a snap. Or you could change to a T5 5-speed even easier.

And lastly, if you know of some really good interior and exterior parts websites, please let me know.

Thanks for the reply. Could you tell me what I would need to install for the power booster? Do I just get one made for a 67 and install it? Would I need another master cylinder or do I need any other parts?

I'm installing an in-dash a/c kit in my 67 right now.

Yes, you want to go as close to stock as possible, and yes, the power cylinder is different from the manual. Typically, booster kits come with a cylinder.

You know, those aftermarket boosters you can get from AutoZone aren't that bad either.

So what exactly do I need to change out the transmission? I know I need the transmission itself, as well as the torque converter. Any other parts I need to get in order for the automatic transmission to work with my engine?

first of all if anything I'd change only the front to disc brakes. leave the rear drums. I prefer the discbrakes just for the reason of equal braking power with no adjustment. but that's my opinion.
Then if you add a booster you shuld make up your mind what brakes you are going with. drum/drum bosster is different to disc/drum booster

talk to CSRP (discbrakeswap.com) or chockostang (chockostangclassicmustang.com). they have the know how and parts to sort you out with. do all brake parts at the same time is probably the best idea instead of adding a booster and then converting to discs

i have discs in the back, but the only reason is that I got them with the axle and had choice between new drums or new discs for virtually the same money
