If I buy from Ebay or my local salvage yard a 93 to 96 lincoln motor and 5 speed tranny from a mustang and a 96 to 99 cobra computer will it all work? You can find on Ebay 93 to 96 lincoln 4.6 DOHC motors for about $1000 sometimes with trannys for little more. If I go with lincoln motor/tranny will mustang performance parts work if I flash the lincoln computer? Thanks everyone for your continuous help.

 

Are you planning on putting this in a classic mustang? If so you will have to cut the shock towers out for clearance.

 

No. The 4.6 is a mod motor. They are wide and do not fit. You did not specify which 5 speed. I doubt the computer will work. Your best bet for an FI engine is from an 89-93 mustang. Grab the tranny too.
