302 - 351w swap (intake)Problems
ok from what i understand this is more or less a plug n play swap.
I bought an old truck with a newer 351w create engine. Today i pulled the engine and found that the intake and carb are siting about 3-4in too high, I cant close the hood. The heads are stamped (GT). The intake is weiand stealth 8023 high rise manifold. And the block was stamped f43-8069-AA or 8059. hard to make out.
-can anyone tell me what ive got for starters? Like what year block and what kind of heads?
-what kind of intakes are you guys useing in order to fit them under the hood?
-i talked to the guy at the speed shop and he needed to know if it was a 2v or a 4v. inorder to sell me an intake manifold. so how can i tell what it is?
-he also said there wasent a lot to chose from as far a lower profile manifolds. and then he went on to tell me if i had a "high deck 351w truck engine" theres no way of geting a short enough intake to get it all under the hood.
so thats where i stand..... covered in grease , scraching my head
EDIT: keep in mind given what i already have at some point it like to go from this c4 to T5 transmission. this car is ment to be a daily driver any input would be much appreciated

are you saying you installed a 351W into a 70 mustang and you are using a weiand stealth intake?
you are having hood clearance problems?
what kind of carb?
consider a drop base air cleaner.
can you post pics?
