Question My Hubcap keeps falling off =(

Okay imagine the embarrassment of having to make the ever long shame walk into an intersection to retrieve your hub cap because the damn thing came off when you stopped.

Hubcap #1 lost on the freeway
Hubcap #2 lost at an intersection (retrieved)
I said to my self if it comes off again I am going to leave it, and when it happened again I did.
Hubcap #3 lost at an intersection (left)

Its been a few months I have been cruising around with 1 missing hubcap and its starting to get to me.

My question would be. How do I keep a hubcap on a bent rim? I know I should replace the rim but I am having trouble finding another 14" stock rim.

I have also come to the conclusion it is time to get a set of Torq Thrust D rims so I will never have to deal with these god forsaken hubcaps. But until then I am stuck with hubcaps.

here in ireland every single hubcap is tied to the rim with cable ties. for all the pot holes I guess. i have no other idea, sorry. until you get other wheels maybe make a video of your walk of shame and upload to youtube. I'd watch it ... :-)

Jeeze, if you can't find a wheel you aren't calling the right people. What's bent about it?

I have lost my left front cap off my Lincoln twice, I picked it up twice, once right before someone else did....

Anyway, the first time I chalked it up to being "just one of those things", the second time I knew there was an issue.

I ended up bending the many little "fingers" that grip the wheel toward the wheel. The first time I did it it helped, the second more agressive try seems to have done the trick.

Also I bought a couple of (cheap) spare caps off of Ebay just in case. I have also seen lots of Lincoln wheels on there, there have to be Mustang wheels on there too.
