Want Brighter Lights
The only two led companies i know of is http://www.northwestmustang.com/ and http://www.mustangproject.com/ the first link is cheaper but you gotta play with them to get them straight.Mustang project has more leds pre tail lights and also have the reverse and turn signals too.
This is my thoughts on upgraded lighting.
A higher output alternator will help things.
I suggest you upgrade to a head light relay setup. It will take the load off of the switch and make the lights brighter. With they relays you can run brighter bulbs.
With the relays you can run something like the Sylvania Xtravision 6024 which is what I run. They are increased wattage like most of the late model capsule bulbs. Upgrading to H4 capsule bulbs is a good way to go as well provided you use good housings.
That scott drake kit should do the trick too.
Here is the realy setup I have.

For the parking lights and tail lights I recommend GE Nighthawk 1157 bulbs which are available on Amazon. They are noticably brighter. I am running them in the parking lights right now. I had them in the tail lights until I upgraded to the Scott Drake sequential setup.
I'm running the amber ones in front because I have clear lenses.

Here are my new tail lights. Dad calls them twinkle lights LOL... I like the incandescent kit better than the LED stuff because they sequence once when braking too and they function better when the tail lights and blinker are on. They go bright dim bright dim etc. The LED ones function as if the tail lights were off and go bright off bright off etc.
I don't run LEDs in any of my lights are refuse to do so. The illumination is all wrong and leaves dead spots in the instrument cluster. From my experience and what I have seen on other cars, LEDs do not shine evenly. They are usually only bright in one direction. I also think that the LED stuff really takes away from the whole classic feel.

Those relay harnesses are a great solution for the headlights, but if you want to really improve the overall performance of your electrical system I would suggest a new wiring harness. You can't beat replacing that 40+ year old wiring with a fresh harness. They can be had for a couple hundred bucks. I used a Painless Performance wiring harness and noticed a great improvement with ALL of my lights to include the interior dash lights. Also, reduced risk of getting a short and electrical fire, no splices or ratty fixes, no more brittle wiring, and I already have wiring ran for future accessories such as electric fan, electric fuel pump, power windows/locks, etc. Awesome upgrade all around!
