Mustang Project LED's for almost any light on your year model car.

Super bright and the headlights are guaranteed for life. They are not cheap. (the headlights) but the other lights are very reasonably priced.

You could go with Hella Headlights if you don't want to go all out.

for the headlights theres:
a) H4 conversion (just change the bulbs)
b) add relays to the wiring so the full power is not going through your switch (what modern cars do): http://www.midnightdsigns.com/james/headlights.htm
c) combination of a) and b) ;-)

The leds have a sticker shock to them but they last a long time are brighter and use less power. The stock tail lights on our cars are kinda dim night driving use to scare me ill get rear ended. And something else to add is led dash lights you can get them at radio shack for about 20 bucks.

I added the led's to my tail lights. My original ones were so dim I was really worried someone would rear end me.

That worked pretty well so I added the led gauge lights. They are much brighter.

Haven't done anything with my headlights though...

I'm leaning towards the LEDs, but I'm a bit confused about 'diodes'. Some bulbs have 24, some 30, some less. For tail/brake/turn and front turn signals which would be the better? The more diodes, the brighter the light?

I went with the H-4 conversions for the front headlights and use the Piaa Super whites. I changed ALL the rest of the bulbs to LED and what a difference. Almost got rear ended coming back from Las Vegas a few years ago and decided then, I need brighter lights so the LED's went in.

I bought some LED tail lights at the NSRA show. They were $80 a pair and are plenty bright. Don't remember the brand but can probably find it.

I bought Hella lights with HB2/9003 lamps from Summit for $40 each. You can also get them with H4 or put H4 lamps in these housings. The Hella housings are very high quality and the lights are bright, with a nice, sharp, 'modern' pattern.

You will probably need to upgrade the wiring with relays. Reenmachine.com has a kit, but it's about $250 I think, with lights.

Any Drake dealer can provide this ready-to-install headlight relay harness, Glazier Nolan calls it G09557:
