Default Brake drum problems

I am having problems getting the front brake drums off. I backed the adjuster way down, and now the drum rotates very freely. However, after a lot of heavy beating, I still cannot get them off. Is there a special way or trick to get these drums off? The rear drums were a little stubborn, but came off without too much effort. Please advise. [>:]

They are connected to the hubs. YOu have to take off the cap, cotter pin, nut, washer and bearing and remove the whole assembly.
