Default Decor interior Color Help

Hello,

I am restoring the interior of my 1966 fastback with Ivy Gold/White interior. I am a bit confused about what I am reading regarding the color scheme:

1. Should the center console and /or kick panels be white or Ivy Gold?

2. I have read that certain items such as door and dash speaker grilles and window trim should be a different shade of Ivy Gold than the rest.

3. Is there a factory guide for the combination for Decor (pony) interiors?

4. Are there any paint mixing codes for the white and Ivy Gold colors?

Thanks!

I don't know how much it will help you, but if I get a chance next time I go to my grandfather's house, I might be able to take pictures of the original 45 year old ivy gold and white pony interior in the convertible. However, it is a 1965 convertible, and does not have speakers in the doors or a center console, so I don't know how much help it will be.

White, on both counts. Lucky for you, the console base is now available new in white plastic.

2. I have read that certain items such as door and dash speaker grilles and window trim should be a different shade of Ivy Gold than the rest.
Huh? The dash grille is dark green exactly like the pad, and the door grilles are light green exactly like the doors. Window trim? The panels in the rear are light green, like the doors.

3. Is there a factory guide for the combination for Decor (pony) interiors?
Not really.

4. Are there any paint mixing codes for the white and Ivy Gold colors?
The paint numbers are listed in the Master Parts Catalog, but it'd be a simple matter to let your supplier provide the paint in quarts and let them worry about the numbers.
