Default Frame/body metal`

Hey guys, just wondering what guage sheet metal to use for frame repair and body...(few small spots on the frame that needs patching) otherwise i would just buy the frame rail and replace.

most of the repro body stuff is 20 gauge mild steel, but 18 gauge welds much nicer for patching if you're doing small flat panel patches on original metal. When I was replacing my down panels I recall the exposed rails were a solid 18 gauge. BTW, that was measured with a sheet metal gauge.
