Need help finding a shop in Houston, TX
I bought a 66 coupe a few weeks ago. Nothing fancy but I still love my "new" car. I drove it this weekend and the temperature gauge rose, very close to the red zone. I went back home because I didn't want to be stranded anywhere. So, I need to have the car looked at but have no idea where to take it. Please shed some light! Thanks!

To be honest for light mechanical work like overheating and tune up many regular shops can handle the classic mustangs. You may even find a reputable home based shop that can handle this, some of those guys that were working on these 30 years ago are still going at it. Now, for body work I would only do the specialist shops.

Mary.... I can help. Of course you said "Houston" .... well that can be 12,000 sq. miles of maybe. LOL... let me know I'm in Northeast Houston in Kingwood. there is a great mechanic here and he's reasonable. For that matter I can do it for you. I've talked to many shops and I don't trust most of them for ANY work.
Danny would be my first choice..... but let me know where you are located. Pasadena, I would go to Pappas on Shaver St.

I'm in The Woodlands area and have several contacts up this way that can help out if needed.
If it's something along the lines of trading out the radiator or the water pump I can help you out...I am getting bored with my car since it's "done" and I am always looking for a project :-)
