Default Disc brake question

Will 1970 Mustang front disc brake setup (minus spindles) be a direct bolt on to my 1967 coupe? Also, will headers from a 1970 Mustang 351w bolt onto my 1967 289? Thanks, Mike.

You will need 70 tie rod ends and possibly 70 spindles. Are you converting from manual to POWER disc brakes? If so you will also need a disc/drum master and a new brake pedal. Pedals are different from manual/power cars.

And yes, the headers are the same.

No, none of the 70 hardware will bolt on your 67 (C6OA) spindles.

Why not bolt on Factory 67 Mustang 4 Piston per caliper Disc brakes with 11 19/64" rotors. No need changing spindles as you have them already. You won't even change alignment.

70 Disc brakes had same size rotors with a single piston caliper, 67 had 4 pistons per caliper.

Beauty of doing the Factory 67 Mustang way is te parts fit 20 years from now. Do it using 67 parts, all you will need to remember is a 67 Mustang with disc brakes, not a glove box full of note of the various parts installed to have non factory brakes.

Sounds like a better idea. Thanks for the replies. Mike
