If it was me, and this honestly is what I did because I needed a new transmission for my 1967 coupe, is look on craigslist. People list that stuff all the time. Something else that I do from time to time, is go to google. In the search bar type in Craigslist. One of the first things that comes us, is "search within craigslist". This allows you to search ALL of the craigslist sites around the country at one time. If you local one doesn't have one, maybe one of the others does.

 

My son bought a C4 for his 64 Falcon off of Ebay, he got a good tranny for a good price.

His was a "take off" from a guy changing his Maverick to an AOD or something.

We shopped around quite a bit and spent some time picking the "right" one close enough to pick up.
