ok....to make a long story short, i have been working on my 69 vert for awhile and collecting parts for it! well my dad a few years ago gave me his 65 vert because he can't see very good anymore...anyways i have been collecting parts for the 65 now and can't deside if i want to put a no miles fully built 390 600 hp efi from a racing shop thats been just sitting there waiting for the 67 gta fb or put the fully rebuilt 351W roller cam tri power in it witch will be easy ??? i'm going to mod the towers anyways so should i just go all the way ? is the bigblock to much for a 65 vert ? i got the bigblock from Ed Worthington racing in burbank ca forever-ago, hot rod magazine did a huge artical on the motor because of the rated hp and computer controled tuneing witch they say its capibal of reaching 28 mpg normal driveing....would it handle like crap with the extra weight ?

 

I'd put the 351 in the 65.

yes the 351 is looking better and better....but i do love challanges! modding the towers is going to happen aways to make room and get those ugly tower bulges gone! here is my mock up so far...

 

oh, and just incase your wondering this mod is for stock suspension but useing GW uppers...

351 into the 65 and the 390 into the 67 is my vote
