Default 66 Center Console restore

I'm restoring the center console for my sprint 200 and was wondering 3 things??

1. It is black and is needed to be the light blue. I want to keep the texture look but not sure what is safe to use on plasitc to strip paint.

2. The black paint on the top plate is what sheen?

3. The chrome has some inperfections from the elements and im not sure what to do about them. It's like spots of depostits.

Any help would be great!

Look for a lacquer based light blue paint to go over the black. it will be think enough to cover and still leave you the texture. you're going to loose some...it's unavoidable. Clean the plastic base well. Use a paste of Bon Ami and water.. scrub it well.

Top plate? do you mean the metal inserts? Take some 0000 steel wool and clean your chrome thoroughly. With some elbow grease, this will take out most everything you can without having to replate. I'd use a satin or semigloss black on the painted areas.
