has anyone turboed a carburated engine out there. If so what did you need to do like configuring the exhuast, air induction etc. also what kind level of psi were you running not for race application but for street use.

Have you checked turbomustangs.com it has a lot of the information that you will need. It has a section in the forums that deals with turbochargers with carbs. I have the same idea for my 1969 fastback mustang with a 351 Windsor.

I am looking for about the same horsepower or a little more. I hope I can get that with maybe a cam, port the factory heads, edlebrock intake, and a 750 Holley or Edlebrock carb. Justcan't afford a stroker kit but i think this combination will do the trick. I will probably try and do a junkyard turbo kit, but get a new turbo, more than likely a T04/T03 hybrid that spools up quick. What have you done with your 68? Is it a fastback?I am also trying to decide about a rearend 8.8 from a Explorer or 9 inch from a79 Lincoln Versailles, both with disc brakes.

What engine are you running now? If 289/302 look into a 351 cheaper and more low end torque.
