Gear Vendors / Overdrive
Has anyone used a gear vendors overdrive unit on a B/B mustang, and what was the outcome. I have a 70 Fastback with a 427 s/o with 428 Crank, Med riser heads, Inglese intake with 4 x 48 IDA Webers running a w/r Top Loader and a Currie 3.89 rearend. Looking for a overdrive for the days I just want to crooze without all the rpm's going crazy, and I really do not want to cut or shut the car if I don't have to.

Why not http://www.moderndriveline.com/catal...bb_TKO_kit.htm The problem with a gear vendors is its not a bolt in you have to make a mount to hold it and on a mustang probably have to cut or beat on the floor.I rather run a tko its a overdrive stick and will bolt right in.

I thought it bolted straight on to the back of the box. I have one coming down under for my c4 and it looks pretty easy to fit. You don't have to bash the floor either it fits in just nice. The only issue is where the speedo connects to the box where it becomes a little tight which can be easily fixed if you get a speedo cable elbow with it.

Really, burn up ? Huh. They aren't like a normal tranny, so that seems a bit weird, but never towed with one. They'll fit in a mustang tunnel though. The speedo cable will run the inside of the tunnel, or you can dent if you want. I really only want one to add OD to the 400. They apparently can't make the T-6060 handle more than about 1300hp reliably. Only thing I never really liked was the shifting isn't consistent enough out of the box for racing. The shift delay varies.
