Arrow '64 1/2 exhaust

Im totally new to this side of the forum, so i have a question for everyone that you will probably think is pretty dumb, but regardless here it goes. So my girlfriends father has a 64' 1/2 mustang, and i have an '08 gt. I am purchasing a new exhaust for my modern stang and have little use for the stock exhaust. With that in mind my gf's father said " hey hook me up with your old ones, maybe they can me modified to fit on mine."

So here i am, does anybody know if a current mustang exhaust can fit or be mortified to fit into a '64 1/2?

If anybody has ever tried or has successfully done it please let me know, actually any input back would be beneficial.

Thanks

I could make it fit a D7 dozer, but by the time it was finished, you'd be better off selling yours on fleebay and putting that towards the right system. I don't feel it would be worth the effort.

I wouldn't even bother with trying to do that.

If you're really interested in dual exhaust, the 64 dual system is reproduced. When converting a 64-66 to dual, it's important to remember the brake system must also be altered.

Yeah, you need to get the different rear soft line and bracket.

Yep- And an extension for the under-car long line, and new axle housing lines.

Why do you need new axle housing lines?

Because the fitting on the hose is in a totally different place. Even it you were willing to try re-bending the standard lines, they simply wouldn't reach.

I didn't even think about that.

I have a Versailles rear end in my car, and didn't have to deal with that.

How do so many people go to dual exhaust and not change the lines?
