Default timing question

I have a 67 mustang with a rebuilt 302 engine that is about 1990 model engine with a high end cam in it it was a comp cam the kit number was i believe a 35-302-8 i am having problems timing it. I wired it as a 302 but someone told me that when u put a high end cam you have to wire it as a 351 does anyone know if this is correct

Check with Comp Cams. Most roller cams use the 351W firing order.

"High end" has no meaning here. The difference is whether the cam was ground as an HO or not. HO uses the 351 order, non HO uses 302 (if it's intended for a 302). Been there, done that... And since 302 and 351 cams interchange, well, you just have to make sure of the firing order however it's labeled.
