Default Glove Box Mounted CD Player

I am going to be putting a Cd player into my glovebox of my 65 this weekend and was wondering what kind of brackets you guys have used and was hoping to see some pictures of your results. I am thinking about having a bracket bent for me something like this _/‾‾
So that I could mount it using the door's fastener locations. I found out that I will have to butcher my cardbord to do it this way though

a friend of mine got a black piece of foam from a furniture store and cut it to fit the glove box, then cut it to fit the cd player.

with in glove box install, can you still have the orignal stereo work? or could/has a "switchbox" be installed?

I am going to have the factory radio control the center speaker and the glove box unit control the kick panel/ Rear speakers. I also debated attaching a relay to the factory radio so when i turned it on it would turn on the one in my glove box.

I accually decided not to do that because I want the factory radio to play. WIth the relay wired in there i would have to have the factory radio on to have the glove box radio on and vise versa so i would have to keep the volumes toggled right.

Looking at your glove box cable, Nualln, I realized mine is busted. Dang, I gotta order a new one. It looks like Mama ain't gonna be putting any purdy things in the glove box.Have you guys ever wondered why it is called a glove box? That cardboard piece of crap is only good for gloves. And, you have to be a paper artist to fold a new one in there. I think I would manufacture a plastic or metal glove box if I were going to be putting an expensive stereo CD player in there.

Well i changed my mind again and went with the relays. It worked great. I Dont have my new radio im going to put into the glove box but i tested the relay with an old one. The glove box radio now goes on and off with the am radio's ****. I also kept the am radio light working. So when i turn the am radio on it appears to be the one working the speakers. Here are some pics of the Relay and how i mounted it on the am radio. I will add pics of the whole set up when i get the new radio in.

Fortunately, that picture isnt mine. The 67 glove boxes are mounted more like the modern mustang glove boxes.
