that's right!! my co-worker's parents bought a 69 mustang fastback 302brand new, and in 1974 it had an engine fire and was garaged. he has told me bits and pieces about the restoration project he started in 01', and after changing the fluids and fixing the wire, the engine cranked right up and ran beautifully after sitting untouched for almost 27 years!! how's that for build quality!!<IMG src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0">gotta love them 302's!! </P>

I had a 69 Cutlass with 20,000miles on it, sat unmoved since 1973, never started...all I did was change the plugs and put in a new battery and it started on the first crank.</P>


What can I say!! It was an Oldsmobile too!!</P>

 

yeah, well I found an old(about 50 years old)small 2 horse "The clinton" engine in a junk pile(been there for about 30 years outside rusting), cleaned the gas tank, spark plug and point and it started on the first pull some how...

 

anyone looking for a 289 out of a 66 stang that sat for no telling how long and fired right up... get back to me if anyone is looking for a good 289....

 

would be interested if i didn't have to drive to oklahoma for it....lol
