So if after trying again the dizzy wont rotate by hand after installing and the gears look okay then the most obvious explanation is that the cam simply is not turning.
The most obvious explanation for the cam not rotating is a broken timing chain.
the quick way to check is to remove a valve cover and rotate the engine and see if the valves move...if not then remove timing cover which is a bit of work and then see if the chain is broken of if perhaps the timing chain cam gear has broken a shear pin.

I dont understand why you are throwing money at all these random parts instead of troubleshooting but I guess if you think the bearing on the old dizzy was bad then its no real loss in this case.
I dont expect a different presentation from a new dizzy...If im interpreting your messages correctly its a safe bet the cam isn't rotating.
Do keep us informed I look forward to seeing what you find.
Good luck

I thought not...
Carry on with the next test.
Remove a valve cover and rotate the engine look to see if any of the valves move...I suspect you'll see no movement at all.
If you dont see any movement proceed with removing the timing cover.
Good luck
