Engine compartment touch up paint
Hello everyone
My problem is this, my 1966 single master brake cylinder suffered an epic failure and leaked brake fluid down the firewall both in the engine compartment and in the pedal area. The result is bubbled / peeling paint exposing bare metal.
I am preparing to replace the original single cylinder master with a shiny new dual master, but I want to take care of the damage the brake fluid did first.
So... the question is, what is the best way to "touch up" paint the engine compartment? I do not want to repaint the entire engine comp, just the area around and under the master brake cylinder and the floor around the brake pedal. My primary concern is protecting the bare metal from the rust monster and while this isn't a show car, I don't want it to look like crap.
Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I helped a friend do a "touch up" before and you can still see the difference between the old and new. Matching paint can be tricky. Maybe test the touch up on a small area, and if it still bothers you...repaint the whole thing.
