Default I don't know jack....

Hi all....first time poster here. I have a classic corvette, 1968, and am familiar with this brand and forums regarding it. This Ford brand is new to me but I have always loved the look of the Mach I.
I have recently come across a 1972 Mach I that is available to me.
It was taken off road in 1982 for rebuild by a new friend. It has been documented as 3 owners including my friend. Since 1982 it has been in a heated storage faculity that my friend owns. He had stripped it down for rebuild but hasn't touched it since. I had a good look at it....

Very solid car with no rust.
All glass in place.
Gauge cluster looks good.
Never been hit.
All parts are accounted for with exception of carpet.
All drivetrain parts are original and in good shape.

1972 Mach I
302
4-speed
Black/silver.

Any thoughts on value.....I can't post pics yet and I know this is a stretch for you all. I just don't know anything about these beauties or their rarity.
I can probably get a vin # this week and post again. I can puck this up for $3K.

Seems like a no brainer.

What say you new Mustang friends?

Thanks in advance for taking the time for a newbie.

That's the base (smallest) engine available in a mach1, but a real mach1 with no rust is desirable.

If you checked every where I mean cowl, floors, bottom of the doors, rear fenders, trunk, frame rails, shock towers, radiator support, you get the idea In my area machs are going in the upwards up 5k for rough condition.

When you get the vin decode it here http://www.mustangdecoder.com/ If its rust free and not missing a ton of stuff i would buy it.Even if its not a true mach1 i would still buy it.
