Default Supercharged 1965

I don't know how many of you guys saw this, but I thought this was a really awesome car!

http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli...6.1&pop=0&it=1

They said on tv that the supercharger was an over the counter option, that the "Supercharger" (Supercharged?) emblem was off a Studebaker, and that the interior was original.

What do you guys think?

Also, what did it go for? I was so interested in the car, and completely missed it.

The supercharger was a $300(i think) dealer option back then.I have all the paperwork from my fastback when my mom bought it and it had all the options and the prices. The Shelby's were a little more then a loaded fastback and a 66 427 Cobra was about $6500.I hate my dad telling me that story OVER AND OVER how Carrol Shelby himself offered to buy the fastback for trade and they said no.

Ya ugly color and pretty rare for a coupe. The color probably makes it more rare and worth more money.

I'm guessing you never saw one new. My Grandad had a 65 that color combo, and a K code, too. Dang, nice looking car in person. Gold photographs lousy, though, but in nice shape, in person, looks really good.
