They said on tv that the supercharger was an over the counter option, that the "Supercharger" (Supercharged?) emblem was off a Studebaker, and that the interior was original.
The supercharger was a $300(i think) dealer option back then.I have all the paperwork from my fastback when my mom bought it and it had all the options and the prices. The Shelby's were a little more then a loaded fastback and a 66 427 Cobra was about $6500.I hate my dad telling me that story OVER AND OVER how Carrol Shelby himself offered to buy the fastback for trade and they said no.

offerd just a trade towards a cobra. My fastback was less then a year old at that point. My dad used to deal with CS back in the day since the Shelby plant was local and they had a parts dept.
Ya ugly color and pretty rare for a coupe. The color probably makes it more rare and worth more money.
I'm guessing you never saw one new. My Grandad had a 65 that color combo, and a K code, too. Dang, nice looking car in person. Gold photographs lousy, though, but in nice shape, in person, looks really good.
