Default Radio

Hey

thinking of buying this, just need a cheap radio to throw in and i just realized that the PO had cut the bezel to fit modern radios, what do you guys think of this?

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Dual+-+1...&skuId=9912771

would i be able to connect everthing correctly? all the wires seem to be intact.

one more question, the interior light doesnt turn on, ive replaced the bulb still nothin, ive checked the fuses and their filaments are all intact. i am planning on replacing the headliner since it has a couple holes in it anyway so if the wires are underneath ill be able to get to them.

The radio bezel is available new and used. There are also aftermarket radios that have a complete 67-68 bezel as part of the radio bezel.

I would not let anybody cut wires in my car.

Can anybody give me a heads up of available switched 12v wires on 67?

I'm also looking for available OEM firewall wires for gauges. Looks like my 67 has a pair that's plug jumpered above MC. Guessing its neutral safety switch wires; Could possibly jumper this under dash and use those OEM safety switch plugs to support new gauges.

Or am I gonna hafta dust off the wiring diagrams and multimeter?

I was trying to be a courteous hijacker.

I thought wiring pointers would help OP wire his radio.
