I think custom is your only hope since the steering is moved from the stock spot. But try talking to http://www.fordpowertrain.com/FPAindex/FPA%20index1.htm

Hey ’66 tang, thanks so much for taking time to answer my thread.I’m afraid I missed your header information.Oh,you didn’t leave any. The whole idea here is for someone to ask a question and then other Mustang enthusiasts try to answer those questions.Perhaps you should do some reading or research a little more before shooting off your mouth and confirming what everyone already knows.A “385 block” IS a big block. It’s the engine family from which the 429/460 come from. Also,I didn’t post a question in order to fulfill your need to inform me of the cost of restoring or modifying a 1966 Mustang.I’m so sorry to hear you feel it’s a “ bottomless money pit”.I think that is an individual decision we all face.Unless you have some information on headers that will fit my application,I think we are done.Have a good life.

Or look around locally for speed or chassis shops they can build you a set of headers just drop the car off for a few days.

I put a 460 in a Mustang ll and there are no header manufacturers that make headers for a 460 in a Mustang ll or a 460 in a 66.
I got a set of 460 truck headers and cut the flange off and cut the pipes apart from the collectors. Then I put the flange on the motor and one by one fit the pipes to the space that I had. You may have to even go to a tri-Y configuration. You or someone you know has the skills to put a 460 in a 66, making a set of headers should be easy.

I too hate people that can't stick to a topic, but I wouldn't be so quick on the trigger there. If in fact you had a stroked 351 there are headers to fit and help to be given. All too many people post on these boards thinking their Cleveland or whatever is a big block so this may have been nothing but an attempt to point a possible misdirected soul in the right direction. And as for his tagline? A 66 IS a money pit! I own a 65 which is the same and can vouch for that.
