transmission swap
I have a 1969 351w i took the transmission in in, which is a 3 speed i couldn't tell you what model off the top of my head, but they want to much money to repair it so im considering swapping out for another transmission but now sure what all i will need to do it, i've heard you can put a T5 in with a positioning plate or something and i was also told you need to get a clutch pedal adapter, i've also heard of a toploader 4 speed i think it was called but the thing is i only have a 400 to 450 dollar limit on money to spend. so any kinda help would be much helpful.
Yo can pick up a T5 for about 500.00, but obviously you will want to make sure its in good shape so an inspection/rebuild adds to the price. Then the adapters or machine work for the bell housing (250.00) as long as your drive shaft fit up your good, other wise even more.
