Default Interior color

I recently purchased a 65 fastback that was (re)painted Twilight Turquoise. It has a white interior with black dashpad and black carpet. Anyone "out there" know what color the interior should be? I am thinking about getting turquise carpet and a dah pad to dye turquoise (to keep color scheming with the exterior),thanks

Well, the data plate is not there. I am assuming when the car was painted - they removed it and never reinstalled it.
the white appears to be the original color - just wanted to know what interior combinations came with a car that has an exterior in Twilight Turquoise. thanks for the response though

That was one of the great things about the mustang. You could order it any way you like. Bad if the plate is missing. Since I assume it's a 65 I guess there's no way about finding out. Only checking for originalcolor spots. 2+2 once mentioned for exterior color best place for checking is under the panel in the rear where you would mount speakers. For interior color there must be spots as well noone is ever painting over

Sounds like D6, White w/Black Trim. There was no comparable standard White w/Aqua Trim. Well, if you have a deluxe (pony) interior, you could have F7 White w/Aqua Trim.

Of course, you could do it anyway.

This is just my opinion but all black is completly overdone. Between the flat black exteriors and all black interiors its so common now that there is nothing special about it. I know some people think it makes their cars look tough but at this point its starting to make them look emo.

I would say stick with the original white with black Or upgrade to the white with aqua pony interior. Both will make your car stand out. These arent colors seen everyday.

The single most common interior color by far in these cars was black. Probably more black interiors than all others combined. Boring.

I like the look, but driving one on a summer day made me glad I had powerful AC. Other colors are not such a problem.
